Honey Mango Sauce recipe


2 cups of mangoes, peeled and chopped.
½ cup of honey.
¼ cup of lemon juice.
2 tablespoons of minced onion.
1 teaspoon of grated lemon peel.
¼ teaspoon of ground allspice.
¼ teaspoon of ground cloves.
¼ teaspoon of salt.
½ teaspoon of grated ginger.
Pepper, to taste.


In a suitably sized saucepan, combine all of the ingredients.

Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce heat and simmer until the mangoes are completely cooked (approximately 15 minutes).

Purée the mixture then return to saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes.

Serve with chicken, duck or lamb.
